  • Hi, I’m Jennifer! I am the owner and founder of Close to Home, where my passion for animals and commitment to exceptional service are at the heart of everything we do. I have years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, and have built a trusted team dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and personalized care for every pet.

    I understand pets are family. My goal has always been to create a place where pet owners can feel confident knowing their dogs are treated with the same love, attention, and respect in an environment that replicates all the comforts of home. Whether overseeing daily operations, caring for dogs in daycare and boarding, or supporting clients and staff, I am actively involved in ensuring every pet receives the highest level of care.

    When I’m not working with guests, I enjoy fishing and cruising, and spending time with my mini dachshunds Beans and Auggie.

  • Lisa is a retired teacher turned pet sitter; grandmother, and proud dog mom to three lovable Golden Retrievers. After spending over three decades in the classroom, shes brought her nurturing spirit and attention to detail into caring for pets—because animals deserve just as much love and patience as people do.

    Whether you’re heading out of town or just need a helping hand with your furry family members, Lisa provides reliable, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s unique personality and needs. With a warm home, a gentle heart, and plenty of experience, I treat every dog, cat, and critter like one of my own.

    When I'm not pet sitting, you’ll find me going on long walks with my Goldens, travelling, spending time with my grandchildren, or curled up with a good book and a furry friend by my side.

  • Sydney is our Lead Kennel Technician and brings years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. Originally from Michigan, she managed the care of over 200 dogs, developing exceptional skills in canine behavior, safety, and daily operations. Sydney is a devoted wife, mother of two, and proud dog mom to three pups of her own. Her passion for animals, leadership, and commitment to providing excellent care make her an invaluable part of our team..
